Mission Statement

To provide a culturally sensitive, safe and nurturing home where at-risk youth can reach their potential spiritually, intellectually, physically and relationally.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Goal

To see each resident finish high-school and/or vocational training and be equipped to live independently.

Long-Term National Vision

Eagles Wings desires to care for Albania’s at risk youth through small group homes using a family model of care. National staff will be trained and equipped to supervise these homes and to support other families in the community.

Our approaches:

• to provide for the care and nurture of minor children in these countries who have been resident in orphanages or comparable institutionalized residential care facilities, or who have not been resident in such facilities but who have been raised in environments of such neglect and/or abuse as to materially hinder the child’s development into a productive member of his/her society;
• to help such children become productive members of their societies as they transition from institutionalized residential care facilities or from environments of neglect and/or abuse, for example, through providing for their education, vocational training, training in living skills, problem-solving, conflict management, in how to interact with and relate to others in the larger, surrounding community and in relationship building generally, and through providing a spiritual and emotional foundation that the children can build upon;
• to establish and provide for the operation of Christian faith-based, small group homes where these objectives can be accomplished in a residential setting approximating a traditional family living arrangement within a larger community; and
• to provide encouragement and assistance to the Christian church in Albania in meeting its responsibilities to care for the orphans of it’s country.
